Hygge (hoo-gah)

It's Not Just Candles and Cozy Blankets

In Denmark, hygge reflects something deeper—a shared mindset grounded in trust, connection, and presence. It’s the ease of honest conversation. The comfort of being imperfect. The warmth in knowing that you belong.

Living and working in Denmark for a decade gave me a different perspective on what those same conditions can make possible at work.

When people trust one another, understand what’s expected, have room to make decisions, and know others will step in when needed, work moves differently. People contribute more freely. Teams adapt. Decisions happen closer to the work. And performance becomes something people create together.

That’s the idea behind Positively Hygge.

Creating the conditions where people can do their best work—and where organizations can perform at their best, too.

Let's Work Together

You may be navigating growth or change, working through a people or organizational challenge, or seeing signs that something isn’t working as well as it could.

Sometimes the need is clear. Other times, the first step is simply having an experienced perspective to help understand what’s happening, connect the dots, and determine where to focus.

I work with leaders and organizations in three ways:

Consulting | Providing focused support to understand and address a specific people, team, or organizational challenge.

Fractional Leadership | Providing experienced HR leadership and additional capacity during periods of growth, transition, or change.

Strategic Advisory | As a trusted thought partner for leaders navigating complex people, organizational, and leadership decisions.

Let’s start a conversation

If you’re navigating change, working through a people or organizational challenge, considering fractional HR leadership, or simply looking for an experienced perspective, I’d be glad to hear what’s on your mind.
